2023 Tournament Recap
In 2023 at Wasatch Mountain Golf Course in Midway, UT, The Long Day Challenge lived up to its name. At 6 AM sharp on June 23rd, 2023, 72 teams from all around the country teed off across all 36 holes of Wasatch Mountain’s sprawling golf complex. With breakfast for all 288 players already packed up in their carts, and drive-by sack lunches being handed to teams as they passed the clubhouse, players embarked on a non-stop day of golf that lasted over 8 hours. Each hole was occupied at all times by 8 golfers, two teams of 4 playing with each other for the entire day.
But the tournament didn’t stop there. After completing the 36 hole qualifier, the top 10 teams were notified and immediately sent out to tee number 1 of the Lake Course to begin the Championship Derby. All other teams parked their carts and entered into the clubhouse for a plated steak dinner, complete with all the sides. All non-qualifying players had the option to eat dinner right after their round, or wait in order to watch the derby. After 8 sudden death holes, the Championship Derby was complete. 10 teams teed off looking to win it all, but at the end, only one team took home the top prize.
Congratulations to our 2023 Long Day Challenge winners: Greg Auxier, Connor Schone, Devon Smith, and Todd Bradford!
We'd also like to give a special shout out to our 2023 charitable sponsor Folds of Honor. They are an outstanding organization and we were proud to donate $10,000 towards their pursuit of education for the families of America’s fallen and disabled heroes.
